Biography

Krujay, Hip Hop Musician/Songwriter/Entertainer. Born in Winnipeg, Canada, now resides outside of Philadelphia, PA. Started writing rhymes/lyrics at the age of 13, and recording a few years later. At 16, for Christmas that year, opened up his first chance to test out some of the verses, that both his brother and himself have been writing for awhile then. His first 8 track digital recorder, with a couple mics, stereo headphones, etc; had all the basic necessities to start recording. At that age, it was either The Roots, EPMD, Blackstar, Big L, Biggie Smalls, Eminem, State Property, Meth & Redman, Outkast, and some local artists, that were stuck in my stereo/headphones, and really made me appreciate hip hop on another level. Those artists/groups, plus the studio equipment, plus the stuff I had written down, was more than enough reason to give this a try.

It wasn't long before this passion, became more than a hobby. Started reaching out to some other local artists/producers to connect and build on a higher level. Made a cd up of a handful of songs he had recorded, and passed them out to some friends, family, and some other random people. "The quality was pretty good, the kid was kind of all over the place on a couple tracks though; but his voice..his voice was amazing." This, said from Mr.Belfield(V-Roc Entertainment), was the reason these two joined up and started making moves. The CD landed in his hands from a persistent friend, that tried more than a few times to just make sure when he left there eyesight, that CD was with Mr.Belfield. After listening, he knew the kid had it, so they started recording a mixtape, that he helped co-produce called "Critical Breakdown". During the period of time that this mixtape was being recorded, got a chance to book some shows, and open up for a couple of his favorite emcee's including Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Omillio Sparks & Jakk Frost. Attend a Music Conference and spit for Styles P & Sheek Louch, and won a spot to perform at SP Entertainment's Artist Showcase in front of Uncle O & Power 99 in Philadelphia. Take a trip to Da Matrix Studios in Brooklyn NY for a live on-air interview with Crazy Mob Squad Radio, plus a trip back for the Rose Records Finale Showcase. That short list of some of the events and performances; that were rocked out, helped guide and mature his style and presence as an artist and musician today.

Since than, and just recently, released a couple music videos, has been booking shows consistently, and just put out another project called "PrepAIRED". Which is available to download for free on datpiff, soundcloud and bandcamp.com. The 16 trk mixtape has started to get attention within the city, and fans from other states and countires that have been supporting for awhile now. It also features some serious local Philadelphia talent including fellow Fam First Ent. artist Mr.Im So Different, Rich Quick, Nico The Beast, Rok Bottom, Monk da Monsta and more. The hit single "Addicted to That" featuring Movement Studioz own Caino, also available on "PrepAIRED", has started to keep everyone exactly that, Addicted to the music and the snapback, tattooed, crazy concept that he portrays. A new music video is available online for the track, and has been picked up and posted by numerous blog sites, including Europe's number one urban online magazine "Yo!Raps"(www.yoraps.com).

Working harder than ever, and it's starting to get noticed, a list of upcoming tracks, shows, projects & meetings are scheduled, to take this movement and artist to the next level.
